Sorry
about the glare on some of the pictures. I didn't have time to take some of
them out of their frames. I'd love to add more artwork. Feel free to send
images of any you may have.
NOTE FROM TONY FRANDINO JR.
Here's
a picture of a painting that some guy in Albany has. He says it is an A Frandino
although I don't see the signature.
He called me a month or so ago to talk about it, thinking my name in phone
book may be A Frandino (and it was-haha)
well anyway he bought it at some little pawn shop or something on Central
Ave here in Albany 15 or 20 years ago. it looks like Dads style from the early
fifties so i bet it is one of his - pretty interesting. He, Steve loves the
painting and style and says Dad was a pretty special artist....well duh....Uncle
Joe painted too maybe its one of his, i dunno

Is this a Tony Frandino Sr. Painting?
JOEY FRANDINO WROTE OF THE PAINTING ABOVE:
Yes.
Dads style, but I think not his. It actually looks eerily like one
of his that one of us has...what do ya'll think?
YOU MAY MEAN THIS ONE JOEY?
This one certainly is a Tony Frandino Sr.
Cathy Aiken had told me before that the picture immediately above was of Dresden Station...notice the telphone poles, dock, train?, and house next to the larger station, and the hill leading up from the water, and the stairs...and so on...much of it compares well with the top picture in question...What do you think? <email me> and I'll post your comments here...
PHIL
SAYS
That
is his (Big Tony's) style....his content too....even back when he wasn't hittin
the Cape...remember he was down at New Haven....along the waterfront.....working
class....dockyards....Living tighter than a crab's ass I bet as a student......I
bet it is his.....
Don't give up the SHIP............................
BILLY SAYS
Not sure if you guys had ever been there...but that is the Dresden store if I ever saw it...telephone poles (I've taken isulators from them)...and I think those are train cars in the back...and that's right where the tracks are...my father and I used to fish all around there...it's not far from where they went to school as young kids...I even went fishing there with YOUR father (Uncle Tony)...and my mother came and took my Dad away because he got "a call"...(dead body ya' know)...Uncle Tony and I caught a few more before we drove back down to Whitehall...what d'ya think? The place was up on posts and even had an indoor outhouse that emptied down under the building...yuck...aparently you could rent boats there too...sure reminds me of that place as seen from the water (Lake Champlain)...you know they used to live there right? I even think that Noni and Carl ran the store there at one point...gotta ask Aunt Cathy...and damn if that doesn't look like it could be Noni on the deck there...
MARYKAY SAYS
Well my opinion
is: the boats and activities happening..looks like
dad's style...the colors YES! The people....eh...I dunno....we have to
have Antionette to look also .
Tony, lets go and take a real look at it sometime.
