Captain Phil's New Year Message
The Captain sez: Have a Safe and Wonderful New Year Everyone. The Boys, Ryan and Nathaniel are graduating high school this year and Meredith is graduating college as well! Meredith will be getting married in August to Pat and those are the big events of the year for me coming up. My eleventh wedding anniversary will occur in October and we will probably hit the LEAF Festival again in the fall. Check it out on the web...www.LEAF.com Arts and Music festival in Black Mountain, NC. After Nate received my old Fender Telecaster for his shenanigans with ASLAN (His band), I am in the market for a SLICK electric guitar....Since acquiring me KILT and CLAN MCNEIL TARTAN SASH I picked up a classic BROADSWORD from my boy Ryan who has been collecting swords for years. IF ye need any help in subduing any NIGHTRIDERS, NIGHTRAIDERS, VIKINGNORSEMEN, HUNS, just blow your pipes folks and I'll be there to assist. S/V MANDALA is solidly afloatin and agloatin readying for a SUMMER 2007 cruise to the Bahamaian reefs, not to land on em..but to DIVE EM. Looking forward to JAMMIN at El Duce's, that's Carlos' Guitar Lounge, a shady dive spot outside Atlantic City, NJ. It's got the latest multi-tract recording equipment, multi-media video hardware and software, and a few lonely Fenders, Gibsons, and Guild's needing some stretching out on. Trying to get the kiddiewhipped brother of mine BONEX to visit my NC MTN spot to get an "architectural feel" for the spot so he can design my Mtn. top cabin retreat. Got ten acres 4000 feet up Sampson Mtn outside of Burnsville, NC...off Lickskillet Creek...check it out on USGS MAPS. Need to ensure a piece of the ROCK and a Piece of the DOCK, or Surf and Turf to you landlubbers. The oysters are in full harvest down here now as the water temp is a cool 50 degrees, but at least it aint FROZEN like you all's up north. Would be hard breakin the ice and SCRAPIN ME BOAT BOTTOMS too. Still swimming me 3000 meters a day and doing me 300 pushups...got to keep the old body in shape even if the MIND IS GONE! AYE LASSIES AND LADDIES, that's it for now....Stay Safe....and on your trials and tribulations, when you come to the fork in the road....TAKE IT.
